Terry Brennan's oil and watercolor paintings articulate the feelings and beauty of the Lowcountry of South Carolina. "With each weathered building, landscape, and seascape, I attempt to capture the emotions and mood of that moment in time," Terry illuminates his subject with his effective use of lights and darks.

An engineer by degree, his art education includes workshops with noted plain art artists Tom Lynch, Irving Shapiro, Tony Couch, Charles Gruppe and Morgan Samuel Price.

After living most of their lives in the Chicago area, Terry and his wife retired to Hilton Head in 1993. He has served on the Board of Directors and as President for the Hilton Head Art League and the Society of Bluffton Artists. His work is currently shown in four local galleries. Terry has exhibited in numerous one-man shows, and his paintings are showcased in private collections thoughout the United States. Custom paintings done upon request.
